Hello!

My name is Sarah Hibbs (she/her) and I am freelance creative producer and consultant living and working on Gadigal land in Sydney, Australia.

I have over a decade of experience working within the private, independent, and not-for-profit art sectors both in Australia and internationally. I am a current PhD student at the School of Economics, Finance and Marketing at RMIT researching the secondary art market within Australia.

My curatorial interests lie in feminist and queer theory, the politics and economics of labour, and alternative models for the creative sector that foster ethical practice and collegiate ways of working together.

I was Co-Chair of experimental online arts publication Runway Journal in 2023, and I’ve held managerial positions as Director, Yavuz Gallery, Sydney / Singapore, and Chief of Operations at LoveArt Art Advisory, Sydney / New York. I have previously worked as the Sydney WorldPride 2023 Program Producer at the National Art School (NAS), Sydney; the Project Manager at Contemporary Arts Organisations Australia (CAOA) and I have held positions at Artspace, Sydney; Swiss Institute, New York; and Gertrude Contemporary, Melbourne.
